On 29/7/2025 the dream became reality. The Iraqi Council of Ministers has officially approved Baghdad British International School as a licensed international school following the British curriculum. What began with hope, and was built with faith, patience, and persistence, has now been formally recognised at the national level. We didn’t wait for approval to begin. We began because we believe our children deserve the best, and because we believe Baghdad is capable of hosting world-class education without losing its soul. The first school in Iraq to teach Artificial Intelligence and Robotics starting from kindergarten. The first school to bring together educators from four continents in the heart of the capital. The first school trusted by parents before it was approved by policy. something real and lasting. Thank you to everyone who believed in us, supported us, and waited for this moment with us. 1. Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Ages 3 – 5

Our Early Years programme is built on the British EYFS framework, which encourages learning through play, exploration, and guided discovery. 3. Secondary School (Key Stage 3)

Ages 11 – 14

In these crucial transitional years, students deepen their understanding across a broader range of subjects, laying the groundwork for future specialization. Learning is inquiry-based, with growing expectations for independent research, critical thinking, and group collaboration.Subjects include:

  • English Language and Literature

4. IGCSE Programme (Key Stage 4)

Ages 14 – 16

Students in Key Stage 4 prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), a globally recognized qualification. . The IGCSE provides both depth and breadth across academic disciplines and is considered excellent preparation for A-Levels or international baccalaureate programs.

  • Core subjects: English, Mathematics, Sciences
  • Electives may include: Business Studies, ICT, Computer Science, Art, and more

5. Pre-University Pathways (Key Stage 5 / Sixth Form)

Ages 16 – 18

Self Defence

Our self-defense and karate classes teach students discipline, focus, and respect while helping them stay active and confident. Through age-appropriate techniques, children learn how to protect themselves, build strength, and develop a positive mindset in a safe and structured setting.

AI

Our AI program introduces students to the exciting world of technology and problem-solving. Through fun, hands-on activities, children learn the basics of AI concepts like patterns, logic, and creativity—encouraging curiosity and preparing them for the future in a safe and age-appropriate way.
